Some Two-by-fours and a Little Time

It's been some time since I last wrote hasn't it? Well let me begin on a good note - tomorrow is July 4th, Independence Day is the U.S. Tonight I get to hang out with some of my best friends ever, and we're barbecuing and setting of fireworks. I love both of those things so much! Last week I helped them and some of their other friends and siblings frame their basement so they could put up walls and have some rooms and a bathroom downstairs. Their house is really new - less than a year old, but they didn't have money to finish the basement and now Brian's sister is moving in with them because she can't live with her parents anymore since they are moving to a condo. Anyway I helped frame my sister's bedroom a long time ago in my parents' basement, so I had a little experience. My tape measure got mangled within the first few minutes of helping out this time, but I think that's okay because it was just some cheap thing that came with my toolbox. Someone said the tape part of it seemed very cheap, so it got bent and creased and twisted. No matter, I'll just get a new one that works better. Better and new tools are always great!
